From a whirlwind of ideas, 300 transfer and innovation projects were chosen for funding, hand-selected from a pool of almost 3000 potential game-changers.

“Germany’s untapped potential for innovation is astounding,” declares Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger. “With DATIpilot, we’ve lit the fuse, and I’m thrilled these 300 projects will receive the backing they need. This is where social impact meets practical brilliance, with an emphasis on universities of applied sciences showcasing their ability to translate ideas into action. I’m proud that these projects represent the whole of Germany, signaling a nationwide commitment to progress.”

The DATIpilot roadshow was a whirlwind tour stopping in bustling cities like Essen, Rostock, Nuremberg, and Wolfsburg. Here, nearly 600 visionaries had mere minutes to pitch their dreams before panels of eager listeners. Participants voted in real-time, and a nail-biting lottery brought even more bright ideas into the fold.
